I'm not sure you understand. You're not supposed to add a trailing slash to the Board URL otherwise MyBB will show links such as forum.com//index.php instead of forum.com/index.php.
As said in my first post, trust me when we say it will work. I've used MyBB since 2006, I am 100% positive that what I said will work as it has the hundreds of times I have done so in the past. Smile
The reason you are asked for the non-trailing slash URL is for internal MyBB use only, as Nathan said, so it doesn't unnecessarily add slashes to URLs which may render the forums unusable.

Go ahead and give what we suggested a try. Worst case scenario, you can change it if it doesn't work. It's not set in stone.
Not that you will need to change it though, cause it will work. Wink
Let me explain things the way I understand them.

What you're thinking of as the trailing slash being there in forums (example.com/forum/) is just the way you access it.

MyBB is using a variable, which is your URL, let's say your URL is example.com/forum. When you enter it into a browser, it'll become example.com/forum/, but if you added that trailing slash, it'd become example.com/forum//, which isn't pretty, or safe.
Judging from the PM I received shortly after my post, I think we're done here.

Thanks for playing, all. Smile
