I wonder how I would achieve something like this vs the stock.

I want to make it as minimal as possible.

Two lines only for welcomeback/login and current time with search/memberlists/buddy list/etc.. combined

i prefer metro welcome block member..just take a look at metro theme(advice)

well i already figured it out and made my own custom welcome blocks, classes i manipulate via css, etc... learning along the way... was impatient for a response on here, responses on here are so slow, time passes and i just figure it out on my own lol.
