I'm having an issue with one certain theme and I have a basic understanding of CSS but I can't figure out why the textarea is not flush with the editor controls.

Help me?

There are some fixes available for this well known problem:

etc.

But straight away hassle free fix is remove the padding of 'textarea' in your global.css.
