I think that this is appropriate.
You can now build a proprietary global.php setting to. /Global.Php or /forum/global.Php enable this feature.
If you are not going to do something very complicated why don't you just use MyBB's in-built help?

Modify the pages from ACP > Configuration > Help Documents

Help Documents are organized enough as it is. There's no need to install a bunch of extras when MyBB has a decent Help Document feature built into it.
