I noticed this the other day whilst checking my stats:

None of the admin/mods can remember anything odd happening around that time, and the logs do not show many posts being deleted (certainly nowhere near 9,000 of them).
In addition, I downloaded my database backups from 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Counting the number of _posts rows results in a normal increment:
22nd: 400,656
23rd: 401,053
24th: 401,389
25th: 401,858
So whilst it doesn't look like any posts are actually missing, the stats counter seems to think nearly 9,000 of them are. I'm really confused about what is going on, and why it suddenly started on the 24th out of the blue. As far as I can recall, I haven't installed any upgrades or plugins around that time. The only thing we've done recently is disable Tapatalk due to SQL errors (18th Feb), and the bug was fixed and Tapatalk re-enabled on 28th.
Obviously it's not an important issue, but it would be nice to know why it has happened.
