Hmm. Way back I was a refugee with woltlab 2.x series. It was a friends license so when he disappeared, we used MyBB.
Years ago I was looking for something that has a setup like vBulletin 2 / 3 but without the price tag. I found MyBB RC3 running here on the community forums. Once RC4 came out I installed it, found it was easy to work with. Once the they added plugin system was added I was hooked.
