I have tried to implement the ones suggested in this forum but they dont seem to work for 1.6.9.

I am looking for a way to display the latest 10 threads/posts on the main page regardless of forum location.

If am reading your question right, you would like to show more thread subjects under the main page Forums 'Last Posts' list ?
Am trying to figure that out also.
Did you ever find a way ?
