Really dumb question sorry for this but how do I remove someone from my ignore list, I am completely baffled buy it.

On the same button where did you added that user on ignore list, you can also remove it from there 
or:
www.yourforum.com/usercp.php?action=editlists
And under the username on ignore list you will see one option to remove it from list and one about his online status.

Jovan you are such a babe, I added them manually to the ignore list I totally forgot about the doing it via profile *slaps head* - also I can't give you rep because I've exceeded the amount for today I'm sorry about that but I do appreciate your help.
