Can someone give me a step to step guide on going from phpbb3.0.11 to mybb? i am using hostgator with file manager and when i add the merge folder and upload into my public_html i get a internal error..

Well to start where is your forums located? (In your website root or in a directory etc...?)

The merge folder & its contents needs to be in the MyBB directory I believe.

This will give you all the information you need. It is actually pretty straight forward so you shouldn't have issues.
