Hello,
I have been locked out of my clients forum, as has he. This is his message:
"I may have made extra trouble for us. I was going through the forum options under the configurating tab in forum administration. I chose the option for forum users to login with their email only and now I'm locked out. My email and password won't work. I thought it would just apply to the other users I guess."

I did get an email from this email address: [email protected] via p3nlhg753.shr.prod.phx3.secureserver.net

It said:
"Your administrator account at I Just Met U Forum has been locked after 5 failed login attempts.

To unlock your account, please go to the URL below in your web browser.

If the above link does not work correctly, go to

You will need to enter the following:
Username: Elaine

I have actually tried doing this, and when I hit "unlock account" the fields go blank, and I'm not redirected.
Any help you can give would be great!

Appears suspicious to me

I thought the same thing, except I do know that he was messing with stuff. Any ideas of what we should do?

It seems there is two forum loaded on that domain.

The public_html which is http://ijustmetu.com

and a test or different one from http://ijustmetu.com/wp-content/plugins/...orum/mybb/

the email alert came from the second one, I would reset your password on the first one and do not have the same passwords on the first or second.

I guess I'm a little confused about why there are two forums, but I was finally able to get in.

And now I'm locked out again. Apparently I had 5 unsuccessful attempts at a log in, which I did not try to do. Any thoughts on why this keeps happening? Could it be the client messing with things, or have we been compromised somehow?

Someone is trying to brute force your password or it could be a bot, Is this on your main forum or the second one?

Okay, I need to back up a little bit here. I have several issues going on.

Why do I have two forums? I don't understand what the difference is.

On the second forum, I am able to change my password, and then log into the admin panel through my WP dashboard. BUT, then I'm stuck because any change I make I have to log in again. I read the documentation on that and tried to change the configuration, but every time I try to save, I am redirected to login, which I do, and then no changes are made, and it just keeps circling me back to log in.

When people are trying to register from the first site, they are directed to a WP login, with the message that registration is closed.

I am able to register just fine on the second forum.

Now I see what you did. You have wordpress and MYBB integrated. The forums are the same, just different looks since you have them integrated.

The first forum is handled by Wordpress and integrated wordpress.
The Second forum is where mybb is installed with the plugin using Wordpress as the main forum.

You should use wordpress to manage your mybb forum.
