^ in that simple mode if you have selected blockquote at the selector and pasted
img {display: none !important;} code in extra css box then it is correct.
Yeah, no dice.. It's ignoring the inserted images that are not attachments.

you have to add the code in Edit Stylesheet: Advanced Mode for global.css
add below code at the end of global.css (Advanced Mode) and save it
blockquote img {display: none !important;}
visit your forum; use hard refresh on your browser (CTRL + F5 key for windows OS) then check the effect
I tried that also, with no luck. I have been editing the theme Im using only, do i need to also edit the default theme?
