Hi,
Okay I have managed to restore my forum onto a new server and host.
I have corrected the strings in the MySQL file.
I have found another problem.
If I write a new thread or try to click on a thread the page cannot be found.
For example:
http://articlechase.com/beyondnews/thread-3874.html
Can anybody help me with this please?
Thank you.
use correct .htaccess or turn off search engine friendly URLs
Ah yes I just realized that the htaccess install with drupal into the root crashed everything.
Is there a way to fix the issue with the drupal htaccess?
Here is the drupal htaccess file.

you may have to add norewrite rule for the forum in Drupal's htaccess
may be something like - RewriteRule ^no_rewrite/MyBBfolder - [L]

Thanks, I will get to work on seeing if this addresses the issue.
I have just tried a couple of methods and they didn't work. This looks like it could be the one.

Would the 'MyBBfolder' part be as in the folder of my forum which would be 'beyondnews'?
Such as RewriteRule ^no_rewrite/beyondnews - [L]
Just to add turning off seo friendly urls works but it is not the fix I want really.
I'll let you know how both work.
^ yes, should be RewriteRule ^no_rewrite/beyondnews - [L] (assuming that
Drupal's htaccess is in the site's folder and MyBB's htaccess is in the forum's folder)

Just tried it and it failed.
I will have a mess around with the codes and get back with a solution if I can find one.
It is crazy how drupal did not think about these issues.
I suppose because drupal is a platform really designed for use as a standalone addition to a domain with its own forum software incorporated that this would not be addressed by there techies.
If I can't solve it I will go direct to their support and see if I can get a one-fix for all and post it here.
