Title.
You should try it and see if it works for you and your community.

They have advantages and disadvantages depending on what services you actually enable through CloudFlare (It may speed up your site for example but then again it is known to cause issues with certain people in terms of website access so your users may get annoyed eventually.
It depends on your needs. I've quite happily served 2.5 million page views through CloudFlare over the last year on a free plan.

I'll probably just stick with the free version unless I get attacked heavily.

Thanks guys.
the 1st advantage ive'd seen in the paid cloudflare service is the ssL, if you are using a free cloudflare you cannot use ssL in your site
SSL is also not so working well with forums. I tried to do things on my end by enabling SSL and prefixing various links with HTTPS wherever possible, but the forum layout breaks indeed. Hope to see an SSL support in future versions of MyBB.

I didn't have a problem with SSL & MyBB, was you using CloudFlare with it when the problems occurred?
Yup, tried to use Cloudflare SSL but didn't worked quite well. Possibly maybe because I've lot of external third party http based links.
