Where do i make the edit to reduce the size of the line gap shown in the thumbnail below .

I've found the usersbrowsing in the templates - but there doesnt appear to be any <br> stuff that i can change .

Found the <br> i was looking for in the main forum display template .

This is a line break (br), not a line height issue. If you look in the "forumdisplay" template you will see two <br /> tags after "usersbrowsing". Just delete one or both of those.
