You could do it manually extracting the string of the thread and add it then to the database.
Open the backup and search some words of the thread to find it faster.

Okay, but what are the steps to do that... I'm in cpanel, I'm looking at the SQL database...

Never mind. What a hassle. The whole reason the thread got deleted in the first place was because there was some strange blank thread sitting at the bottom of the forum. I deleted it, and it deleted a previously moved thread in another forum. Great.
