I just installed MyBB on my server and it wouldn't let me log in or go to the login page. I decided to take a look in the file member.php and I noticed the software needs register globals turned on to work properly (and this is true, because since I turned that on on the server, it worked)

now you might say I solved the problem, but it's still a security risk (it could be)

MyBB has somethign to automatically turn on register global's in global.php so that shouldn't have been a problem.

We know that register global's being on can be a security risk which is why we've taken as much action as possible to avoid something like that and will be rewriting it all eventually in to using $_POST, $_GET etc..
