Dear Members,

My forum is very new http://hrsuccesstalk.com/forum/

I am facing a problem with spam. Every day there are many spam user which get registered automatically, many post and threads are published. It takes lot of my time to keep removing these users and post.

This is increasing day by day. Seeking support from all to help me in this issue.

I have activated Akismet plugin to stop spam but no use. There are other plugin i am using...profile picture and yannoncement pro.. I am mentioning the name of other plugin to remove my doubt that these spam are not associated with above mentioned plugins.

PLS HELP.

Person who is willing to register need to enter a code mentioned in image during registration process. Is it not enough? How come still spam?

^ I prefer registration-security-questions and required-approvals. my forum does not need spam specific plugin at present.
key-captcha and topic-register-time plugins also look good. another is Spamalyser

automatic programs (called spam bots) are used by spammers. regular image code (captcha) is not sufficient.

When you say that your forum does not require spam controlling plugin does it mean that there is no spam or you have methods in place to stop spam?

^ mine is a local language forum and security questions are in my local language. that's it

I have used "Registration Security Question" plugin. Lets see what happens now. Anyways thanks for your support as usual.

^ just a suggestion for security questions plugin. delete provided questions and add your own.

I did changed the questions and added my own. But still the spam problem exist. Any other advise to control spamming

You can always try this plugin: http://mods.mybb.com/view/stopforumspam-com-for-mybb I believe it is being used here as well...
