Okay i recently moved forum to new domain and hosting and edited the config.php and settings.php file to how it's supposed to be now the problem i'm having is when activating a mod or something it puts the settings.php back to the old settings from what it was like on the old hosting

Any help would be great thanks I can't work this one out

You need to change the settings in the ACP after changing them in settings.php too.
