I've been busy with school and dorking out on video games recently so haven't been on the MyBB forums much, but how's development on the prototype to jquery conversion going for MyBB 1.8?
Just want to start up a thread on the topic and get some idea of how things have been going the last few months.
The 1.8 roadmap will be announced today with the current status of 1.8. The jQuery conversion is yet to start.

You guys are going to have fun with that. I myself have the job of converting a heavy MooTools-dependant website to jQuery, but that'll be easy since MooTools is similar. Prototype to me looks quite different to jQuery.
Then again, jQuery is rather simple itself, so it shouldn't be too difficult. Plus you have millions of people using it (including many people here) to help you out!
