Well it's currently marked as a duplicate bug, which means it has been reported before. You can try looking for the thread and see if there is a solution posted there. Otherwise you'll probably have to wait for version 1.2.2

Most of my members are on IE and i don't want niggles to disrupt the change over.
Any idea when 1.2.2 will be available ?
I think that bug happened to me for once, but after a few more secs, the formating images will go back to the row.
they move back on mouseover in ie7. I know it's not the biggest problem in the world but when you are trying to 'sell' the forum change to members little niggles i can do without.
Well isn't IE7 Beta software anyway? So technically it may not even be MyBB's falt that this bug is occuring.
No, IE7 is released now.
Anyways just go over with your mouse and they'll pop back to place.

It probably isn't MyBB's fault anyway, even if IE7 isn't in beta, because it works on every other common browser, except for IE7. IE is annoying for web developers anyway >.>
