Making your forum with fake stats is probably one of the worst things you can do in my opinion.
Faking statistics is just bad in many ways. People will not register just for the post count. They will register if they like it.
Try to work on the originality on your forum. Write your own plugins, make your own theme.
Improve user experience etc etc.

I think is better if you hide it till you have some more views, and also post some more nice stuff. Becouse you really have a less number of posts.
