Currently, internal quotes will link to the post you've quoted. However, when manually inserting a quote, there is no way to add a source link. My suggestion would be that formatting like this:
Would result in the go-to-post arrow being replaced with a link to an external source. Currently, you can do this:
Ideally it would be something like this:
