I'm looking for a free theme for my site.

I want a dark one, so a black background so signatures/images will stand out more.
I also want one with the Username, posts, reputation down the side, and not along the top. Just like:

But on the Mods, it previewed it like that, but when I uploaded it, the information was just like ordinary ones along the top.

Hope someone can help me find one that's working, and good quality.

You would need to set your postbit view to classic to see that style of postbit. it is in your user control panel

And is there an option in the admin CP to set this as default?

Yes there is - any users that are allready members will need to change, but you can find it in Showthread options in the configuration

Post Layout
Allows you to switch between the classic and new horizontal layout modes. Classic mode shows the author information to the left of the post, horizontal shows the author information above the post.
