I don't want to cross post, and I did already mention this on the login/out thread, but I'm seeing that the problem is bigger than just that, and I'm getting desperate.

I upgraded from 1.6.9 to 1.6.10. Now it is impossible to log in or out, to register, and to view user profiles. In Firefox those actions just get a blank white screen. In Chrome I get

500 Internal Server Error is a generic error, you'll need to check the server access logs to find out more information.

Okay. I'll look at that. Does the fact that it's login/logout/profiles not working help with diagnosing the problem?

^ check latest errors, esp for accessing member.php (btw, this thread is marked as solved!)

THANK YOU! I found the problem and fixed it. I would not have thought to look in the log files.

It does seem to be something of a weird problem. There was a problem with line 76 of member.lang.php, where I had added a link....
