a strange problem the users and me facing that some of the attachments are getting auto deleted after some time. Nothing in mod or admin logs. How to fix this issue?
Did you set quota?
ACP > Users & Groups > Groups > Forums and Posts > Attachment Quota
(for some group)
Yes attachment quota is set already for that group...please help.

Set it to bigger value (or 0 for unlimited) - You can see "Top 5 Users Using the Most Disk Space" in
ACP > Forums and Posts > Attachments > Attachment Statistics
Attachments are deleted if they are orphaned, you can check if that is reported in:
... > Attachments > Find Orphaned Attachments
or manually, check in table mybb_attachments if there are strange values (zeros) recorded in fields: pid, uid, visible.

A strange thing is that the attachments are deleting automatically of only a single user. He is using attachment quota of 3.83 MB and there are two more users who are using higher size of attachments than that user but those two user's attachments are not getting auto deleted.

^ are you using TapaTalk plugin and is he attaching using a mobile ? if so have you upgraded to
latest version of TapaTalk ? if not yet upgraded it then do it soon.

orphaned attachments = if their post is deleted; (orphan=no parents)
How to check attachments:
ACP > Forums & Posts > Attachments > Find Attachments
enter name in "Posters' username is" and press Enter

The quota you set is not for individual attachments, it is for total size of all user's attachments.
Hi Saini,
Mybb saves associated post number in table mybb_attachment (field pid).
If you manually changed "pid" (or post id in posts table) attachment would move to different post.
Changing permissions or user's quota won't change pid (to last post in the thread), I think.
