Hey dudes Smile

I would love a system for showing a user on my site their latest posts, so there is a link next to New Posts and Today's Posts at the top that would say "My Posts". I have seen this done on www.atheistforums.org where they use MyBB, and the address is FORUMADDRESS/search.php?action=getuserposts.

As copying this onto my own forum's search string didn't work, I assume it's a mod?

Does anyone know which one it is?

Thank you very much!

Wave Smile
Ah yes I just spotted it!

I also saw these:

http://mods.mybb.com/view/mythreadsmyposts

http://mods.mybb.com/view/my-posts-and-threads

This is all great - my members will be very happy!

I wonder which one Atheist Forums uses though as theirs is good! Maybe I'll experiment with all 3! Smile

Maybe they use the official one that is created by the owner of www.hackforums.net and the plugin can be found on www.mybbcentral.com but you have to be a subscriber to download it.

ok, I guess I'll try the different ones and see which it is!

I mean, as long as it works well I'm happy!
^ I'd suggest to use the template edit. no need of a plugin when required result can be achieved with a simple edit.

In theory yes, but the problem is that those three methods don't present the posts anywhere near as nicely as on Atheist Forums!

They don't look as nice, or bold threads that have new replies, which is the kind of functionality I want!

Perhaps I'll check that one on MyBB Central o.O

depends on your forum theme.

the bold threads though is more for functionality... it means you can see clearly which threads you've replied in and threads you've made have responses. It also displays very cleanly. I'll post screenies:

http://snag.gy/5riVQ.jpg (you can see the search string in the bottom left)

http://snag.gy/iPOau.jpg (search results for My Posts, with bolded threads and nice presentation! Smile )

(there are some gaps in them where I hid my username, just for simplicity's sake!)

Yay they told me!

One of the admins on that forum wrote it specially and he gave me a copy - apparently it was put up here as a mod but got removed for no clear reason when an edit was made.

Perhaps we could work something out as I'm sure this mod could greatly help others too!

Wave ^_^

Ah, apparently it was a different mod that was removed without clear reason.

I did get this perfectly working though so I'm very happy about that! ^_^

Thanks for the help guys!

If anyone wants help with this I would be happy to provide it (my skype is "thefloatingisland"), but all credit goes to the original creator Smile
