The other admin of my forum made a custom welcome message for when you are a guest. I'd like to restore that to default, but I don't know where he did that. Where can I change this?
Hi there,

You can change this in the language file.
Providing you are using the English version you can change it in the file global.lang.php which resides in /inc/langaues/english

The variable to change is :

Quote:$l['welcome_guest'] = "Hello There, Guest!";

Best of luck,
Sir P
You can also use the built in language editor, located in the ACP.
Wow you know I didn't notice that existed. Fantastic
Nope that isn't working. Sad My forum is www.bmestudioz.com/community and I have no idea where to edit this as everything seems normal.
copy paste your $l['welcome_guest'] value here and il help you further Smile
Looks like it's in your header_welcomeblock_guest template.

LOL...I didn't know about this either. Definitely easier to edit than through an editor and then reuploading! Big Grin
$l['welcome_guest'] = "Hello There, Guest!";
Then how do I fix that?
Edit: Thank you judel!
Admin CP --> Templates --> Modify / Delete --> *Expand your template set* Click "revert to original" beside the header_welcomeblock_guest template.
