Ah I see, PHPBB 4 seems to have no official information regarding 4.x, except for being built on Symphony.

Ooo very interesting from PHPBB .

Will take a look at it upon its release / keep an eye out for sneak previews etc... - though PHPBB in its current form isn't appealing for me personally.
