It's actually not just the index, take a look at the site and you'll see the problem.
Reupload the theme.xml file and make that as the default theme
do you remember the theme name ?
I think you have modified your index template.
Go to: ACP » Template Sets » <<Your template set>> » Index Page Templates » index and the upper potion of the template should look like this:

<head>
<title>{$mybb->settings['bbname']}</title>
{$headerinclude}
</head>
<body>
{$header}
I have closed this as this is a ripped theme.
