I wanted to hide the comment "This post was last modified:" to all users or for special groups. Can you tell me how?

ACP -> Configuration -> Settings -> Show 'edited by' Messages / Show 'edited by' Message for Forum Staff

@down, oh really, both settings disable it only for staff? Is it a MyBB bug? I remember I could disable it for everyone with both settings set to No.

My advice is bad and you shouldn't listen to it – use .m.'s post below.

The obvious issue with this is that it only removes it for staff.

You need to remove this from postbit and/or postbit_classic:

<span id="edited_by_{$post['pid']}">{$post['editedmsg']}</span>
