You know at top, once you're in a forumdisplay it'll give you a path...

EG: General Discussion / Music / Mumford and Sons

How would I go about removing that? With the theme I have it doesn't exactly suit.

you can modify that to suit your theme. anyway, you can remove or comment out <navigation> in header template.
