I created a forum where registered users are not allowed to create a new post. But the "New Thread" button is still shown, producing the page "You do not have permission to access this page." when clicked.

If post replies are disabled, the "New Reply" button is also shown when editing the post, producing the same eror.

I did not find any plugin to avoid to show this not allowed buttons.

if you can install template conditionals plugin then you can use method like this
