I am here with a simple question.
How would I add text and edit the home page?
Its just blank right now with Info on the side!

Guess you are talking about the portal page where all the stats appear in sidebar.
You have to pull announcement threads to display over the page.
ACP > Configuration > Settings > Portal Settings > Forum ID to pull announcements from
Set the forum ID(s) in the field and save. The threads from those forums you've specified will be pulled to show in portal body.

I did what you said and their is a number 2 in it...
All I want to know is how to edit pages!
Like put text on pages (Example: Put text on the home page (Portal)
