Check your error logs. You've chosen to hide error messages so we can't know what the issue is.

You or your hosting have disabled the scandir function. Enable it or contact your host to enable it.

@down, that doesn't influence my reply at all...

Solution VPS:
Remove the scandir string from the disable_functions at php.ini* file
