I have setup MyBB on GoDaddy successfully but I have some problem with forum url. I have a .com domain name linked to GoDaddy hosting.

Lets say my forum url is - http://myforumurl.com

I had uploaded all the mybb installation files (that are in upload folder) in public_html folder in my godaddy account file manager.

After the installation I checked http://myforumurl.com and the page displayed 404 error.

But when i opened http://myforumurl.com/public_html and it is working it displayed the forum which i just installed.

I want that forum address should be http://myforumurl.com which is showing error.

Upload the files to / instead of /public_html/.

upload into public_html.

not outside public_html.

public_html is usually the webroot, but the OP wouldn't be able to access /public_html/ in that case.

but why there is no public_html url.

I think MyBB no public_html file.

public_html isn't always the webroot. It depends on the webhost and the environment.
