Neither should have a significant effect on SEO over the other, but the first one is more human readable. Personally I prefer the way sites like StackOverflow do it (/id/title) where the title doesn't matter (you can remove it) but lets the user easily know what they're viewing.

You can do the same thing with Google SEO, if you really want to, but MyBB will trip over stuff being in a subdirectory, so it needs <base> and a few code changes here and there (location redirects, probably some JS bits, not sure, plus whatever other plugins do, if they rely on relative URLs).
