i'm using mybb1.2,can anyone tell me the best way to update to 1.2.2?
from 1.2 -> 1.2 security update -> 1.2.1 -> 1.2.2
or 1.2 -> 1.22 ?
and give me some important steps when update to avoid any problem!!

You'll want to just redownload the latest version from the site, and replace all your files EXCEPT inc/config.php and inc/settings.php Next step is to navigate install/upgrade.php select 1.2.0 as the version you're upgrading from and click next.
Mind you, if you have any modifications installed (other than plugins) you'll have to reapply them. You can ignore the warning in the upgrader about multiple plugins being activated still.
how about my language pack from 1.2 to 1.2.2?does it change?

Yes, there are some changed language files in the updates.
# admin/profilefields.lang.php
# usercp.lang.php
is it 2 files with change?so i just only translate these 2 files again and keep other files?
From 1.2 -> 1.2.1
there are these files changed.
# inc/languages/english/datahandler_event.lang.php
# inc/languages/english/datahandler_user.lang.php
# inc/languages/english/messages.lang.php
# inc/languages/english/private.lang.php
# inc/languages/english/search.lang.php
If those were the only ones changed, then those are the only ones you need to re-translate. (You probably won't even need to re-translate the majority of those).
