Whiile nosing around my new, "very easily" installed board, I noticed that there is no way to activate the portal, other than typing portal.php in the browser. The same goes when in the admin panel and trying to get back to the main forum page. Also, I would like to add a java rainbow script into the board, but couldn't figure out how to edit an individual template.

Link to portal: http://www.mybbplanet.com/showthread.php?tid=22
(funny Smile I posted a tutorial 1/2 hour before you requested it Smile )

Admin Link: You can, there is a link called "View Your Forums". That will open the site in one of the frames for you to see. Or hold ctrl in firefox for a new tab or shift in IE for a new window.

Rainbow Script: Admin CP > Templates > Modify/Delete > *template set expand* > find the one you want > Change Original > Add you script somewhere in the code > Add Template. If you tell us where you want it on what pages, maybe we can tell you the exact path to the template you need.
I would like the links to change colors, just like here:

On XMB, the script goes on the header template. Not sure where to put it on MyBB.

Admin CP > Templates > Modify/Delete > *template set expand* > header > stick the javascript up the top.
Work's perfectly. Thanks! More questions: How do I make and add blocks to the portal and how do I make a forum appear on the portal?

Making new boxes on the portal, it depends what you want in it though.

As for making a forum appear on the portal, you can make the posts of a forum (usually people do annoucments)
You should, as on other boards, be able to create/add blocks. I think the admin panel allows one to show a forum on the portal. I haven't figured out how to do it. That's why the question.
