I just re-uploaded my mybb files etc and sql db to my new host , I can access it when i go to mylink.com/index.php
But when I connect to it from the main link mylink.com

It shows me my old hostpapa page even though im not on their hosting anymore

Did you update your DNS?
If you did, it generally takes about 48 hours to propagate. Just wait, and you'll be golden.

put correct Board URL in General Configuration settings of Admin Panel

I've tried that it still does not work

Yes I updated my DNS earlier my nameservers etc

^ if you are referring to the site listed in your signature then it is opening without index.php
if you still have a problem with it then try clearing your browser cache or try with another browser

I tried clearing my cache , does not seem to be working

Check for index.html in the root and remove it.

There were two index.html files , removed them both now it works!
