i have installed myalert plugin but it seems i can't get the it to work properly using the jquery effects. It only works if i click on myalerts and then i can see all the new ones.
It seems jquery is not working or maybe i'm missing something
mybb latest version, default installation.

maybe browser incompatibility ??
it seems to work now not sure how. I have modified a file from here

i have another question: i have 2 users:
user1 and user2
if user1 start the thread and user2 replies, user1 gets notified.
if user 1 replies below the user2 reply, user2 is not notified.
it seems only the user that started the thread gets notified, am i wrong?

Well yes only the one who created the thread gets notified but I believe if a reply gets quoted then the person who wrote the original reply (Reply that was quoted) gets a notification too.
A user won't get notified unless their reply was quoted.

Exactly. Thread subscription alerts are planned, but due to the unique way MyBB handles subscriptions, I have not yet started adding them.

I tried installing myalerts but unfortunately it requires Pluginlibrary and the mod for Pluginlibrary has been removed. Can you create a test account with admin permissions to the Templates & Styles tab?
not sure i'm going to implement this unless i can fully integrate with the layout. waiting for Euan
