Does anyone know how to remove the italic style from the Administrator?

where it is shown in italics - is it group name style ? if so navigate to below location and edit Username Style
admin panel >> users & groups >> groups >> administrators --> Username Style

Wow, thank you for your help, it works.

How would I apply the a:hover style directly to the administrator? I'd like to change the underline color on mouse hover.

EDIT: Would giving a class="" to the username work?

^ may be your theme has underline hover style for all the links - you have to change that in global.css

I prefer using this method for the group name styles so that it would be easy to modify
