MyBB 1.6.10
New Installation
Configuration -> General Configuration -> MyBB Default CAPCHA does not display on the registration page after a new installation. Attempting to register results in denial due to capcha error.
Workaround: use reCAPCHA
I see this issue has been raised more than once with no resolution provided, and at least one thread closed without resolution. In my case this is a brand new installation on a new system so no issues with previous versions or cached browser pages.
