I have just recently bought a domain at 1and1.com, and i was trying to set up the mybb using Filezilla. I dragged in the upload folder, and all of the files transferred. When i went to the site however, this is what it said "Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request." Please help! I think i might know why however. Before i dragged the files in, i deleted a file called "index.html". Can someone just help please, or tell me how to get the file back. thanks

Did you upload the upload file to the root ? Then made a sql db+user and then navigated to yoursite.com/install ?

Or If you messed the files up , just delete them and re-upload.
