hello,
what is the correct method of upgrading Mybb while you are using Google seo plugin and the google seo url is activated?
Iam afraid to loose the google seo urls which is already indexed in google.
do i need to deactivate the plugin before upgrade mybb? or keep it activated?

Just do it normally.

As plugins ADD HOOKS, they don't affect code

What about the changes of the core files? the plugin have an option of changing the core files before it works .... do i need to repeat the changes to the core files?

Check the plugins page after updating MyBB. If there is anything to be done, it will tell you.

Yes , iam already 1.6

What frostschutz means to say is that if you are doing a major upgrade then yes you should disable all your plugins but if you are doing a minor upgrade (EX: 1.6.8 --> 1.6.10) then there's no need to disable your plugins.
