I am using Pirato Nervo's My Shoutbox. Is there any other better plugin[free one] available as Pirato is soon going to stop support or it.

It seems IDL Chat is not open to use and install. I would like it for my site, and I have heard IRC consumes a lot of resources.
^ IRC does not consume lot of resources (rather shoutbox & ajax chat are resource hogs)

I like Ajax chat personally. It is a bit of a resource hog for Apache servers, but you can change some of the settings to help with that. (Shoutboxes rarely need to update every 2 seconds anyway
