couldn't solve this on my own. I was trying to access my forum but the browser returns me a server error 500. Admin cp still accessible though but main forum isn't. Tried logging it from my test user and I was able to access the main forum. The problem lies with logging in using my admin user.

hard refresh your browser (press CTRL + F5 a couple of times) and try again.

I believe error code 500 is the code for 500 internal server error. Since it's a problem with your server I recommend checking in with your host first.
