If an unregistered member wants to see a profile of a registered member, he needs to register in order to view members' profile.

Right now, Everyone is able to view the profile. How do i stop that?

navigate to admin panel >> users & groups >> groups >> guests and see available options to set required permissions

Specifically:

admin panel > users & groups > groups > guests > Forums & Posts (2nd tab) > Viewing Options > Can view user profiles?

Uncheck, and save.
