Hi can you tell me please if I need to enable MyBB Gzip compression on the web hosting that has already enabled Gzip compression

some of the plugins are found to be not working when Gzip compression is enabled. I'd suggest to not use it

You right when I enable Gzip compression my forum looks like some sort of bunch of strange symbols!

Gzip compression works well on my forum, but it may not work for all forums. If your host already has gzip compression, there is no real use to enabling it on your forum.

It should be off (and done by the webserver instead).

The webserver has to do it anyway for CSS and JavaScript.

how check if webserver already enabled gzip?

just look at the http response headers to be sure
