When people try to register on my myBB powered forums, they get this error..

I've just installed myBB today and just recently added a theme.

admin panel >> templates >> active theme templates >> Member Templates >> member_register

find {$captcha} and change it to {$hiddencaptcha} and save the template. it should fix the issue.
