Hi guys how can I stop people from modifying their posts after 1 day.

Again, needs a plugin.

I remember very well there was a plugin for this. I used a couple of times. I'll update this post if I find it, I also encourage you to try to find it. I remember there was a plugin for this.

Well, Arbaz, I didn't find any plugin for that. However; there is a plugin which does just opposite of it, means : restrict edit till certain time and then allows to edit.

I believe, it can be modified a little to suit what OP asked for ...

I know about courtesy edit time. The plugin I'm talking about is from 1.4.

Posting settings has Edit Time Limit - doesn't it help with the requirement !
admin panel >> configuration >> (settings) >> Posting --> Edit Time Limit <-- put 1440
